Imagine you’re going out for the night with friends. You message them to say you’re leaving. As you near the pub you can see the sign outside beckoning you in. You walk up to the bar, order your drink before pulling out the coins in your wallet to pay. But did you notice the texture on your phone case as you messaged your friends? Or wonder how the sign, bar furniture or the coins used to pay were made?

The answer? Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing software and Tim is one of the creators and design enthusiasts behind it. Tim has been creating software for over 25 years for hobbyists and businesses alike, so that they can explore their artistic side using technology.

As a maker, Tim loves to create gifts for friends and family using Carveco’s software and a CNC machine; Room signs, 3D carvings or custom chocolates using moulds he designed and made himself. To show you how, Tim will be putting himself to the test to design projects in-front of you at 11.30 each day on the 2nd stage. Alternatively come and say hi to him on the Carveco stand (C47).
