Hi, I’m Chrissie, the bubbly creator behind SoPea Bath & Body! Known far and wide as The Crazy Soap Lady (a nickname lovingly gifted by a customer’s kid, that I absolutely adore), I’m a self-taught cosmetic formulator with over 8 years of experience. My journey began as a quest to tackle dry, sensitive skin—both mine and my loved ones’—and it grew into a vibrant business I’m incredibly proud to call my own.
Soap-making is my ultimate passion! It’s the perfect mix of science, creativity, and a little bit of magic, transforming everyday skincare into beautiful, usable works of art that leave your skin feeling AMAZING.
Last year at Makers Central, I had the pleasure of teaming up with the amazing Make With Makers team to host bath bomb-making sessions. The response was absolutely incredible! We eve ran out of kits because you all were so excited to dive in and get creative! This year, I’m coming back with a BANG, but this time with my very own space! I’m bringing even more fun, creativity, and hands-on bubbly goodness for you to enjoy.
You’ll be able to roll up your sleeves and make your very own bath bomb, choosing from various fragrances, vibrant colours, and fun, colourful embeds to create something totally unique. You’ll leave with your colourful creations—and a big smile on your face!
I’ll also be showcasing my passion for cold process soap-making. On Saturday, I’ll be swirling bold, bright colours into a stunning drop swirl design, and on Sunday, I’ll work my marbling magic. And yes, there will be a “Here’s one I made earlier” moment when I slice into a finished soap to reveal its dazzling patterns inside!
But wait—there’s more! This year, I’m adding an extra dash of excitement to the event. Let’s just say a little friendly competition among creators might be in store, and it’s sure to be a highlight you won’t want to miss!
I’m also thrilled to be teaming up with the amazing Soak Rochford, a fantastic raw ingredient supplier for bath and body products, to bring you exclusive collaboration kits. And for those who love to shop, I’ll have limited-edition bath and body treats available, perfect for anyone who wants to take home a little piece of SoPea magic.
